Life feels confusing when we try to define it on our own terms. Culture says success is money, status, and comfort. But God sees life differently. His perspective gives it meaning, direction, and lasting value.
1. God’s Perspective About Life
From Genesis to Revelation, the Bible shows that life is a gift from God, designed for relationship with Him.
Genesis 1:27 says, So God created mankind in his own image, in the image of God he created them.
You’re not in an accident. Your worth comes from being made in His image.
Jesus put it plainly in John 10:10: I have come that they may have life, and have it to the full.
God’s perspective is that life is meant to be lived in fellowship with Him, guided by His truth, and aimed at His glory.
2. The Importance of Seeing Life Through God’s Lens
When we align with God’s view, everything shifts:
Purpose becomes clear: Jeremiah 29:11 ,For I know the plans I have for you, declares the Lord, plans to prosper you and not to harm you.
Decisions get simpler: God’s Word becomes the filter for what’s right, not feelings or trends. Psalm 119:105 , Your word is a lamp for my feet, a light on my path.
Peace replaces anxiety: Knowing God is in control reduces fear of the unknown. Philippians 4:6-7
Without God’s perspective, life feels like chasing wind. With it, even trials have meaning.
3. Benefits of Applying God’s Perspective
Living by God’s view of life brings real, practical benefits:
1. Direction: You stop drifting. Proverbs 3:5-6 promises God will make your paths straight when you trust Him.
2. Contentment: You stop comparing. 1 Timothy 6:6 “Godliness with contentment is great gain.
3. Strength in trials: Romans 8:28 reminds us God works all things for the good of those who love Him.
4. Eternal hope: This life isn’t all there is. John 3:16 guarantees eternal life for those who believe.
4. Consequences of Not Applying It
Ignoring God’s perspective leads to emptiness, even when outwardly successful.
Ecclesiastes 1:2 –Meaningless! Meaningless! Utterly meaningless! Everything is meaningless.
That’s Solomon’s conclusion after chasing everything apart from God.
Matthew 16:26 asks, What good will it be for someone to gain the whole world, yet forfeit their soul?_
A life built on self-definition ends in regret. Without God, sin goes unchecked, purpose is lost, and peace stays out of reach.
Living by God’s perspective isn’t about being perfect. It’s about surrendering daily and letting His Word shape how you think, choose, and live.
If this message encourages you, don’t keep it to yourself.
